Los ejemplos son muy concretos y me dee excepcional pensar sobre la vida de esa manera. A must read for every science lover and hater.

Oparins most pertinent ideas can be summarized quite concisely, but we end up with over pages due to an overabundance of examples and critiques of other theories which was, nevertheless, a very enjoyable part of the book. Lamentablemente pudo haber sido mucho mejor. Lectura obligada para los estudiosos de la naturaleza.

It uses a lot the word “demonstration”, which I find too big for lucubrations about the past, and of course says nothing about DNA because its role was not known. And by the way, for us the mexicans, this book mentions one of the contributions of a mexican biologist, Alfonso Herrera: Oparin has a pretty good idea about the subject. It is very interesting the premise EXCEPT it is so boring and I totally hated his soviet nationalism be because he tried to discredit world scientist’s works saying thee best studies about life were on the soviet union.
